Ok, I did the following: 1) Boot into windows --> run ASUS update utility --> update BIOS to last version 2) Reboot and checked bios 3) Reboot into Kubuntu 4) First suspend attempt, resume successful 5) Second suspend attenpt, resume fail --> BLACK SCREEN 6) switch off with the power buttom 7) switch on attempt --> BLACK SCREEN 8) removed battery and power cord to recover the laptop
