It would be nice to developers to backport vala 0.18 to 12.04 LTS. Vala
releases are parallel installable so this should not conflict with the
existing vala support in 12.04 LTS. Vala 0.18 contains important bug
fixes over 0.16 that developers may require to develop on 12.04 LTS.
