*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1064192 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1064192
Excuse me, but in what sense is this supposed to be a duplicate of #1064192 ? #1064192 doesn't look like a bug at all, while this is an embarassing screw-up. Canonical has shipped an nvidia driver that is flat-out uninstallable, as it depends on a package that doesn't exist. This leads to X being unusable for people who have graphics cards unsupported by nouveau or nvidia-current. Please please please with sugar on top, sort this out and release an installable driver ASAP. Oh, and yes, I can confirm this bug, too.
