Looks like Debian had the same issue: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=674838
This also breaks the new fetch feature for me and I suspect has been the cause of some of the other reported bugs and crashes. After manually correcting the symlink /usr/share/calibre/fonts/liberation to point to ../../fonts/truetype/liberation/ calibre is working again for me. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #674838 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=674838 ** Also affects: calibre (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=674838 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1037168 Title: calibre package has bad softlink / IOError: cannot open resource To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calibre/+bug/1037168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
