This was partly fixed in the 0.7 release of unity-scope-gdocs, which opens the Google Doc for editing (rather than for export/downloading, which was the previous behaviour) in a web browser. See bug 1041749 for more details.
It would be possible to have a preview action to open in GWOffice, or change the default action to do so, but it is not something that I have time to work on at the moment. ** No longer affects: unity ** Changed in: unity-scope-gdocs (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Opinion ** Also affects: unity-lens-gdocs Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity-lens-gdocs Status: New => Opinion ** Changed in: unity-scope-gdocs (Ubuntu) Status: Opinion => New ** Changed in: unity-lens-gdocs Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1063529 Title: Support opening Google Docs via GWoffice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/1063529/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
