** Description changed: I) problem 1 1) start aptitude in gnome-terminal 2) search package with pressing '/' button 3) input name of package to search 4) press enter to start search 5) search another package with pressing '/' button 6) you see the name of old searched package and keyboard cursor is in the beginning of input field 7) try to delete old search name with "delete" button. but it is impossible! it does not works! 8) press "end" button and delete with "backspace". it works but very it very annoying to press "end" every time. II) problem 2 1) press Ctrl+Alt+F2, login as root and start aptitude in this real console. 2-8) as above with same result: "delete" button is not works in aptitude! III) solutions for developers: 1) add support for "delete" button (for real console at least, but for both console and gnome-terminal is better) 2) let's move keyboard cursor to the end of inputed search name automatically 3) let's add menu option and keyboard combination to start new search empty input field 4) let's add menu option and keyboard combination to clean input field with one pressing non-delete and non-backspace key (really, why not?)
