Ian~G, the original problem of "Saving .doc as .doc format copies first page header onto all others" does not happen in either the testing environment you noted, nor in mine. However, it's clear more work needs to be done on the .doc export code in both of our testing environments to get it working as one may expect, but a different bug for a different report. If you have a bug in LibreOffice, you are welcome to file a new report about this following http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport .
