Note also: My Xorg runs at 10 MB (checked several times). Are you sure about 21.2 MB? That alone adds up to 11 MB to your total RSS RAM. I do not think that it is an 'everything just a bit bigger' issue. RAM usage for Lubuntu has not varied much since its inception or from one release to the next.
