I have this same exact issue on 12.10 Beta 2 as of today on my Inspiron 15R Notebook (Inspiron 7520) using the Logitech Anywhere MX mouse. after spamming "sudo modprobe -r hid_logitech_dj && sudo modprobe hid_logitech_dj" a few times the mouse pointer comes to life until I reboot again.
