Public bug reported:

Ice 3.4.2 seems to have problems with gcc 4.7. cpp files created via slice2cpp
can not be built using gcc 4.7
I've tried it with my own Ice application and also the "Hello" Demo including
in the Ice 3.4.2 Demos: http://www.zeroc.com/download.html#demo

Compilation of automatically created cpp files fails with errors like
this: /usr/include/Ice/Handle.h:66:13: error: ‘upCast’ was not declared
in this scope, and no declarations were found by argument-dependent
lookup at the point of instantiation [-fpermissive]

A patch for Ice 3.4.2 & gcc 4.7 is available here:
http://www.zeroc.com/forums/patches/5647-patch-compiling-ice-clang-
gcc4-7-a.html

** Affects: zeroc-ice (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
