Furthermore, I do have some questions to ask you to already get more info. - Is there a mysql deamon running on the same computer as cacti? - During the installation process, was the question asked to provide the password for the root? - Could you look in /var/log/dpkg.log for the entries around the install of cacti and copy/paste or attach them here? - Could you look in /var/log/apt/term.log for the entries around the install of cacti and copy/paste or attach them here? - Could you look in /var/log/apt/history.log for the entries around the install of cacti and copy/paste or attach them here?
