Hi Joseph,

yes, I've installed the 3.6.1-kernel on the 12.04 installation. I've
setup four partitions for the test: shared /boot, shared /home, and two
separate Root-Partitions, one for 12.04 and one for 12.10.

As the bug does not happen on 12.04-root with the default 3.2.0-kernel,
but does with the 3.6.1, we can rule out an error in any tool package of
ext4, as they stayed the same. So it's a regression from 3.2 up to at
least 3.5.0. If possible, I would not like to try all versions in
between - is there any way around this?

Best Regards,
Lars
