Thanks Joseph! Doing what you asked did not help. Actually it was even worse: NetworkManager didn't even recognize me having a wireless card at all (at least the drop down from the indicator applet did not include the option to "Enable Wireless").
I guess I was supposed to add the tag kernel-bug-exists-upstream even though I'm not sure if it does indeed have the exact same bug. If that was wrong then please remove it :) ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1062985 Title: Connecting to some wireless networks does not work in battery mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1062985/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
