I would indeed consider it as a bug: 1) Burning a CD from MP3 should just work - out of the box. Currently it doesn't. Far from. No mom/girlfriend would currently ever be able to perform this simple task alone.
2) Installing an MP3 codec should not just enable MP3 for *some* applications. Especially K3B should at least be easily upgradeable to MP3 support.
