I had the same problem, i believe it's a dependancy issue and you will
need to install libgpod. You will probably find as I did that you will
get plenty of dependancy issues and have to keep installing other files
and packages from the repository. I had about a dozen but got there in
the end. Some of the dependancies were hard to fathom but perseverance
got me there in the end. By the way I used the later version 2.1.3 and
this seems to work ok once i had waded through all the dependancy
issues.
