Public bug reported: When I hit print screen, the gnome printscreen tool dialog box pops up with a filename entered and highlighted. It looks like I should be able to simply start typing in order to specify my own name for the screenshot, but typing apparently does nothing. If I single-click on the dialog (in an attempt to give it focus) typing still has no effect. Instead I need to re-highlight that text in order to replace it.
In shorter, what I see is: 1) Press 'print screen' 2) See that the file name box is pre-populated and that the part before the file extension is highlighted 3) try to type to specify your own name 4) See that nothing much happens What I expect to see is: 1) Press 'print screen' 2) See that the file name box is pre-populated and that the part before the file extension is highlighted 3) try to type to specify your own name 4) see my typing clear the highlighted portion of the file name (all before the dot and the extension) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: gnome-screenshot 3.5.92-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-15.23-generic 3.5.4 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.5.2-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Sep 28 12:24:32 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha amd64 (20120910) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-screenshot UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-screenshot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug quantal running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1058062 Title: Gnome Screenshot tool doesn't take focus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-screenshot/+bug/1058062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
