I commented on this in #51 I have two machines running 12.04 now (both with encrypted LVMs), one of which was updated from 11.10, where I experienced this error, the other was a fresh install. I don't get the error message anymore now, on either machine.
I still get this blank screen (greyish now :P), but I am not sure if that is normal or related to this issue.
