I have the same problem with a wired USB Microsoft mouse. I have to log off and back on after a reboot to get the mouse to work reliably. Otherwise, the cursor will move, but I can't click on anything. This behavior will cut in and out every minute or 2 until I log off and back on. The USB wired keyboard continues to work normally throughout.
