Please remove xmltex and jadetex if you have it installed. Then call
        dpkg --configure -a
If this still fails please report back.

This should be solved in texlive-bin 2007-12.

Ubuntu maintainers please pull from Debian the new
texlive-{bin,base,lang} and tex-common. Thanks
