I can understand the Ubuntu One Music Store link even though I think a
link in the Dash & better integration in the default music player would
be sufficient.

I do not understand why we need a direct link to amazon.com on the
default Ubuntu desktop. I believe adding that link will be rather
controversial and I have trouble seeing that it's worth all that bother.
Will Canonical be getting referral compensation? If not, I think a fair
number of people will assume that there is profit-sharing going on.
Maybe there should be. Amazon.com is a very commercial website and I
think this decision should be discussed by Ubuntu developers as a whole
first.
