Oh wait, I have very cheap USB card reader, maybe it is the reason; my dmesg is flooded with lines like this:
usb 2-1: reset high speed USB device number 24 using ehci_hcd >From http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1444822 I found people that have the same issues with suspend, their workaround is to unload USB drivers before suspend/hibernate (and load again after wake up). It is a hack but it seems to work.
