Prior to modifying the xorg.conf (created by: 'sudo nvidia-xsconfig & then modified by 'gksu nvidia-settings' my ~/.xsession-errors was continuously being flooded with: /usr/bin/compiz (core) - Warn: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32 warnings.
