*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 47776 *** Orasis1's suggestion works for me. Just remove the /.config/xfce/desktop/menu.xml file and restart. I'm a major newbie so it took me a while to figure out you must have the . (dot) in front of config to navigate there. Good luck.
