Hard to tell, if feisty packages weren't updated, then yes, the issue is still there. Personally I'm using (well, I'm playing quite rarely to be honest) 0.3.0 from Ubuntu packages provided on http://xmoto.sourceforge.net/. The version shipped with Ubuntu Feisty is too outdated to be used anyway.
