I found this : http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-910606-start-0.html
I tried the following : 1) create a new file /etc/modprobe.d/iwl4965-disable11n.conf with the following content: options iwl4965 11n_disable=1 2) Reboot It seems to be a good workaround as I am now able to do apt-get update and install new packages. I will try to remove the manually installed 3.5rc5 kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046741 Title: Wireless very slow on thinkpad x61s with 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1046741/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
