** Description changed: - When upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 I encountered a debconf prompt for + Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 upgrade + Ubuntu 12.04 to Q upgrade + + When upgrading I encountered a debconf prompt for /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc. It prompts me to keep the old, customized conffile or replace it with the new one. I ahve not modified this file, and I believe the debconf prompt should not appear. Instead I think we might have some broken conffile handling somewhere in libreoffice. The sofficerc file has not been touched in quite awhile, and I am fairly certain I have never modified it by hand: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 152 Aug 24 2010 /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc Diff of old to new: --- /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc 2010-08-24 13:05:09.000000000 -0400 +++ /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc.dpkg-new 2012-01-13 14:25:24.000000000 -0500 @@ -2,7 +2,7 @@ - HideEula=1 - Logo=1 - NativeProgress=true + HideEula=1 + Logo=1 + NativeProgress=true -ProgressBarColor=171,117,61 -ProgressFrameColor=207,208,212 -ProgressPosition=15,228 -ProgressSize=405,7 +ProgressBarColor=126,170,23 +ProgressFrameColor=207,208,211 +ProgressPosition=164,225 +ProgressSize=319,10 - - I checked another system running 11.10, and the values in sofficerc are identical to the original version here, so presumably that system would be affected on upgrade too.
