Public bug reported: Whether or not I have a HDMI cable in my computer (connected to my TV), I always exactly three playback devices Digital Output (S/PDIF), Analog and Headphones. I can activate HDMI sound through pavucontrol, and make it works this way, however, it should really appear (or just be there always) in sound configuration.
In my research on this, I have come across advice to reboot my machine with the HDMI cable in, but that didn't make the output appear in the list.
