Yes, the mouse and scroll wheel work perfectly fine during and after installation. I didn't install anything exclusively to make them work. Maybe, like you said, OEL could be equipped with the special drivers. I'll try and install another OS, possibly MS Windows, and check. Since I've run Quantal on VMWare Player as well, I know as a fact that these problems do not exist there, though it makes sure to bump you with one or two different issues.
