Thanks for your help Till. I have a US Robotics router/print server and printing worked until cups 1.4 (old Linux), then with 1.5 I started receiving the cups-ipp-missing- validate-job error messages and was no more able to print.
I can access my printer (Samsung ML2010) from "http://192.168.1.1:1631/printers/My_Printer";, so I don't know how to instruct cups to use ipp14 backend instead than ipp. Any suggestions?
