uname -a Linux sapho 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux the version of gcompris is actually 8.2.2 Actually I tried to play the end-games of chess. At the third game after some movings there was a hanger. I had to kill gcompris with kill -15 what worked fine but leaved me back in a very uncofortable resolution. Even restart and leaving the game didnt' change it. I am remembering, that before there were even the similar problems with the submarine game and some other games. May be that enabling the sound makes it better. But I had a often hangers...
