To have the system working we need to remove, from the boot line, the splash entry. Doing so we will have the passphrase request in a black screen. If instead we remove the vt_handoff entry the splashscreen will be shown, but the passphrase request will appear in a bad position at the center of the screen on a background purple with Ubuntu 12.10 written.
