On my Dell Latitude D420...
A clean dapper install gave me a working X including autodetected
synaptics touchpad with vertical scrolling.
A clean feisty install gives me a semi-working X. No scrolling on the
touchpad. No synaptics driver loaded from xorg.conf.
I'll attach both xorg.conf files.
