This is the expected behaviour. All programs are only incorparated with
their icons in unity dash panel, when they are installed from software
center.
When you whant to have an different behaviour, please attach here over
"Also affects project" the Unity upstream project and ask to mark this
here as wish.
I set it to incomplete, set it back to new when you have done the step
desribe above or when you have no interest let it expire.
