Hello. I am using krb5/winbind authentication, and having the same
problem. I have tried the patch linked by levien, and it works well with
local users, but completely breaks sudo for domain users (before
applying the patch, i was able to use sudo with domain users, the
problem was only with gksu).

Actually, I think it is a bug, because I have noticed the following:

In a default Ubuntu installation, sudo presents the prompt "Password:",
with an uppercase "P". But after configuring pam-krb5, it presents the
prompt "password:", with a lowercase "p".

I am sure this bug is extremely easy to fix for any who knows where in
the source is located the prompt string. So PLEASE, you smart guys, fix
it for us begginers! ;)

Thanks a lot.
