I've also opened googleearth on my 965gm system, zoomed to my home, then swiped with the mouse to send it panning across the globe. It's going fine. We're probably going to need some more specific steps for reproducing the problem if we're going to get anywhere. Where is the map pointing at when the problem occurs. Can you reproduce it at the initial position looking at the globe without otherwise interacting with the app? If you can't reliably reproduce the problem, can you reproduce it once while using apitrace, then produce it again by replaying that trace?
