I've also opened googleearth on my 965gm system, zoomed to my home, then
swiped with the mouse to send it panning across the globe.  It's going
fine.  We're probably going to need some more specific steps for
reproducing the problem if we're going to get anywhere.  Where is the
map pointing at when the problem occurs.  Can you reproduce it at the
initial position looking at the globe without otherwise interacting with
the app?  If you can't reliably reproduce the problem, can you reproduce
it once while using apitrace, then produce it again by replaying that
trace?
