I have a new Macbook Air 2012 Model and it seems that I have the same problem as reported here.
An older kernel version 3.3 works fine, where as newer ones give me a black screen. Daniel asked me to test the latest patch from here. I applied "Check combined VBT/register delay" on top of todays drm-intel-next (20d5a540 drm/i915: don't grab dev->struct_mutex for userspace forcewak). Eventually the screen is black again.
