Mike Kupfer, thank you for providing this information. Regarding your comments https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1032035/comments/13 :
>"If there's a GNOME3 PPA for Oneiric that it would be helpful for me to test against, I'm willing to try that." You are welcome to, but if you have a problem with a PPA, as it is not something from an official repository, it is not something the Ubuntu Project will support. For more on this, please see: http://www.ubuntu.com/project/about-ubuntu/components - information about Ubuntu repositories https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories - information regarding managing repositories Regarding your Bug Description: >"I seem to have found a reproducible way to crash my ZaReason AMD Breeze: >login to a GNOME 3 session, suspend (to RAM) and resume, then insert a CD into >the internal drive, then unlock the screen, then try to view the CD with >Nautilus." So, if you wait to put the CD in after you unlock the screen from a suspend resume, then try to view the CD with Nautilus, is the oops reproducible? ** Description changed: I seem to have found a reproducible way to crash my ZaReason AMD Breeze: login to a GNOME 3 session, suspend (to RAM) and resume, then insert a CD into the internal drive, then unlock the screen, then try to view the CD with Nautilus. I'm 3-for-3 in causing a failure this way. The first 2 times were with the 3.0.0-23-generic #39 kernel, the 3rd time was with 3.0.0-22-generic #36. (Well, the failure on the -22 kernel wasn't really a crash, but I did get a series of "Bad page map" errors in /var/log/syslog tied to Nautilus.) - I tried once to reproduce the crash using Unity on the 3.0.0-23-generic #39 kernel but did not have any problems. - I'm only able to reproduce the problem with the GNOME session (GNOME shell). I don't see the problem with Unity/Compiz. - + I'm only able to reproduce the problem with the GNOME session (GNOME + shell). The crash message varies. The first crash was: unable to handle kernel paging request at 000000ffffff7ff9 with the process in question being gnome-shell. The second crash was: nautilus: Corrupted page table at address 18012e8 + + WORKAROUND: I don't see the problem with Unity/Compiz. I tried once to + reproduce the crash using Unity on the 3.0.0-23-generic #39 kernel but + did not have any problems.
