That means your hard drive is faulty (it has some bad sectors on it) and the system is unable to write data due to that - do a backup immediately, then perform a long test according to your drive manufacturer's instructions (in your case, your hard drive is a Fujitsu one, so the diagnostic utility is here: http://storage.toshiba.com/techdocs/fjdtwin.exe - you must run it from Windows - or http://storage.toshiba.com/techdocs/fjdt_700.zip - you must run it from a DOS boot disk). If the utility reports the drive as faulty, replace the hard disk immediately. Please test the drive and tell me here how the test went. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1033917 Title: canNOT INSTALL 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1033917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
