I think I managed to find a way to reproduce this problem: 1 Get a PC capable of doing NVidia TwinView 2 Install Vanilla Ubuntu Precise 3 Configure Xorg to do TwinView 4 Log in (Unity 3D) and use QEmu
My laptop (non-twinview, Precise, Unity) does not have this problem, while I can reproduce the flashing/resizing screen on two PC (twinview, Precise, Unity).
