Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 5.10, Kernel 2.6.10, SiS 900 NIC works fine.

Ubuntu 6.06, Kernel 2.6.15, SiS 900 NIC can't get a single packet from
the DHCP server. The wireless usb dongle can.

Ubuntu 6.06, Kernel 2.6.15 recompiled leaving out of my system the unwanted
integrated iptables, SiS 900 NIC works fine.
But I have to recompile the kernel (and several third-party modules) every time
I need to update it.

Obviously, the settings of iptable are something similar to "please
enter, you are all welcome". But I still need to recompile.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
