There was another strange bug which happened when I created a new backup folder, it wouldn't backup. It would sit there a spin and use all of my ram and eventually crash my computer. I didn't back up for about 2 months which was terribly disappointing and very dangerous for me. I wish someone had said that this is the fix:
1) log onto the Ubuntu One account and remove from sink all of your backup folders 2) start "Backup" (deja-dupe) 3) configure it to back up whatever folders you want 4) hit start and this will create a new fresh backup. This is not ideal as it wipes the previous set and the upload of around 15GB isn't a trivial amount of time but this is far better than getting a 500 error or crashing my computer. Hopefully a new backup will not be required every time I upgrade ubuntu but for now it seems to work well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882699 Title: Déjà Dup fails with "Got status code 500" when starting backup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+bug/882699/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
