I can confirm that adding "radeon" to my SUSPEND_MODULES seems to fix this bug on 12.04. I have tested 8 or so suspend/resume cycles with no problems, where before I could only get zero or one suspend/resume cycles to work before it failed.
My /etc/pm/config.d/suspend_modules reads: SUSPEND_MODULES="wl radeon" Previously, the value had been simply "wl", which still seems to be required for things to work correctly. Presumably adding "fglrx" instead of "radeon" would help those using that driver. Note that this did not work with uswsusp. It seems to work both with C6 enabled and disabled in the BIOS.
