I have tested this most of today on edgy and on dapper and i am unable to reproduce this. Im also leaning towards this being an xserver driver issue. can you please attach a screenshot, a link that is known to give you this issue and xserver info (eg. driver you are using, video card make and model, what version of xserver-org-core, any logs you might have with errors.) Im not sure what gui realplayer uses but im sure its not qt. as for firefox it uses gtk so if its failing on both gtk and qt than it sounds like an X issue not the theme engines.
