Hello,
One problem with the Python-pip package is the file at "/usr/bin/pip" is from 
the package for "Perl Installation Program" . So the file "pip" has nothing to 
do with python.  
Both packages have conflicting assumptions.  The executable name "pip" is 
already taken.  Why not name the installed binary "python-pip" ?

However, I'm not sure why the software updater presumed it should update
the "pip" program.
