Same problem here I just added "/usr/share/roundcube:/usr/share/php:/var/lib/roundcube:/etc/roundcube" to open_basedir configuration and roundcube works !
Don't forget restart APACHE Make sure, you don't have open_basedir reconfigured in <location /> tags somwere in apache2 configuration, like i had.
