Yes.
My system: Ubuntu 12.04 - x86
Hardware: HP Compaq 6710b
$ uname -a

libfprint0 Version: 1:0.4.0+git20120202-0ppa1~precise1

error from dmsg:
fprint_demo[19278]: segfault at 0 ip b48a32b5 sp bf8c9b70 error 4 in
libfprint.so.0.0.0[b4890000+39000]

But is interesting "half-solution" in:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?s=2b034b2e0f27a2d853a7a0ba2bbab350&p=6855566&postcount=59

Finger scan works, but always is 'bad verification' and scan image is
broken / damaged.
