I just performed and 10.04 to 12.04 upgrade on a server (no desktop
environment) that had virt-manager installed and I can no longer start
that application (I used it very well over SSH on 10.04).  I don't know
where you are getting that output (virtinst versioning problem).  I
don't see it.  I've uploaded an strace file.

$ strace -f -o strace.virt-manager virt-manager
