I cannot reproduce your positive results with proprietary NVIDIA drivers which support OpenGL 3.2, thus I'm inclined to delete your AppDB results as knowingly false. OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 8800 GT/PCIe/SSE2 OpenGL version string: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 304.22 OpenGL shading language version string: 3.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler The 3DMark 2005 in my case says: "Your hardware does not support the features required to run 3DMark05. Pixel Shader 2.0 (or higher) is one of these..." Out of the box Wine is written with proprietary NVIDIA drivers in mind so it's a very strange fluke on your side that the 3DMark 2005 works for you.
