Blacklisting module i915 is not the right way, for those who use
integrated graphics Intel, this most modern laptops.

I have a laptop with a processor IvyBridge with integrated graphics Intel 4000 
and a separate video card ATI Radeon HD 7660M.
After installation -27 proposed kernel problem is solved.
$ uname -a
Linux mks-nb 3.2.0-27-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 6 14:25:57 UTC 2012 x86_64 
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
