I have a similar problem. After waking up from suspend (i.e., after opening the lid), I can log in via the Gnome-Shell "Locked Screen", and after a few seconds find myself back in LightDM. It doesn't happen every time ... usually after I have closed and opened the lid several times. It seems that it crashes more often after the lid was closed for a longer time (i.e. not only seconds). When I open the notebook in the morning (after being suspended for ~7 hours) , it always crashes.
I'm on a Thinkpad T430s. Ubuntu 12.04, Kernel 3.50, Gnome-Shell. The error I get in apport is "Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in XIChangeDeviceProperty()", the package is xserver-xorg-core. I'd like to attach the log, but I don't know how to do this. :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/598567 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in XIChangeDeviceProperty() on resume from suspend to ram - synaptics_drv error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/598567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
